Leslie was born in Denver, Colorado and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Many hours of her childhood were spent in her grandfather’s cabinet workshop, observing his custom craftsmanship and art. It was here that she learned to appreciate design and hand-crafted items. 

Leslie studied business administration at the University of Cincinnati.  She started her career with a successful 12 years in the financial industry. In 1990, Leslie moved to London, England and upon her return to Cincinnati, she established Pear Tree Imports. Inspired by her love of antiques and decoration, she embarked on several buying trips per year. This soon grew into Pear Tree Interiors, a full-service interior design firm specializing in remodeling and construction related projects. Through Leslie’s experience living in England and traveling Europe, she developed a design aesthetic that combines current, cutting edge components grounded with historical architectural elements and antiques. She has a vast knowledge of resources here and abroad.

Leslie has worked on large historic estates in Indian Hill and Hyde Park as well as Riverview condominiums.  Her experience has also included projects in Colorado, Naples, Boston and Northern Michigan.  In addition, she has worked on commercial properties including golf clubs and small hotels. 

Leslie serves on the board of Kenzie’s Closet and supports many other local arts organizations and charities.
